Cascina Christiana is a traditional Piedmontese boutique winery with luxurious self-catering and "bed and breakfast" accommodation.

The 5 hectare vineyards are planted with Barbera D’Asti grapes which the soils and terrain of this area particularly favour. In addition there are small plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. A modern state of the art winery was completed in 2002.

The recently restored traditional 19th century farmhouse offers luxurious, fully equipped self catering apartments as well as spacious en-suite rooms with breakfast facilities. Each is individually decorated and the interiors are accentuated with locally crafted furniture and original paintings of vineyard settings. All rooms have wonderful views of the vineyards and surrounding countryside. On a clear day one can even see the Italian Alps. There is a magnificent ‘infinity’ swimming pool, positioned to take full advantage of the spectacular views.

Nizza Monferrato is in the heart of a region where wine-growing traditions go back many centuries and Piedmont is a favourite destination with Italian gourmands. The area is locally renowned for its white truffles and many of the ingredients used in the delicious local dishes are grown in the region. Local cuisine is sophisticated and always freshly prepared. Teamed with the region’s excellent wines eating in the many local restaurants is an experience not to be missed.

Besides Piedmont’s gastronomic delights – which are celebrated with festivals at various times throughout the year, places of historical interest such as Aqui Terme, Asti, Alba and Alessandria are within easy access. The appealing climate with short winters and long warm summers is ideal for outdoor activities such as cycling and walking.

Conveniently located, Cascina Christiana is 60 minutes from Genoa airport, 75 minutes from Turin airport and 90 minutes from Milan Malpensa airport; 1 hour by car from the Italian Riviera and 2 hours from the great lakes and Italian Alps.
